If you don’t use a download manager, and you are a member of a really porn site, you may want to consider getting one to make downloading movies a lot easier and faster. I personally use Internet Download Manager, but others like DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) are just as good. They allow you to schedule your downloads and speed them up dramatically. I am getting 2MB/sec with mine, which is almost twice as fast as I get without it. But the best thing for me is you can just go to your site and keep adding all the movies you want, and then it can pull them down later when you are not online so it doesn’t slow you down.

I got a couple questions about the cryptic “WMV 2500k/sec” kinda stuff I write. So here’s a quick primer for those who don’t know what this stuff means.

“WMV” is a video format. It stands for Window Media Video and it is Microsoft’s proprietary video compression format. Other common video formats are “MPEG”, and “RM” (RealPlayer). Both WMV and MPEG will play on your Window Media Player no problem, though you need to download RealPlayer to play RM files. In general, MPEGs play on almost any video player, but their video quality is generally surpassed by both WMV and RM files, which use better video compression algorithms. The advantage to MPEGS is that there is tons of free software out there to edit and join them.

“2500k/sec” refers to the videos resolution or “quality”. Basically, the higher the number the higher the quality, and therefore the bigger the size of the file. For example a 500k/sec video clip will look decent at about 1/4 screen. Here are some basic guidelines:

350-500k: Good for viewing at 1\4 screen. Will be too blurry to watch at full screen. Should stream fine without too much buffering for most people with DSL or cable.

800-1000k: Possible to watch at full screen, but blurry. Slower DSL services may not stream them without buffering frequently (choppiness). File sizes are about 8MB per minute of video, so a 20 minute video is 160MB.

2000k: This is where videos start to look really excellent at full screen, even on larger monitors. This is where the top sites are doing the highest quality videos. You need some speedy internet to stream these without any buffering, so most Cable modem users will be fine, but some DSL users may not be able to stream them smoothly. Files sizes are 15MB per minute, so a 20 minute video will be 300MB.

I think this style of adult movie making is really catching on. I remember a few years ago only a few studios were making POV titles. Now there are a whole bunch. It used to be only Red Light District, and now Legend, Acid Rain, Bouncy Pictures, and many others have started making them. Now it is easier than ever to find. And as for websites, there were almost none a few years ago, now there are at least six I can think of, and some pretty big ones with hundreds of movies. So you can get your fill so much more easily now. Do a search on Google and see how many ads there are. Hey, man, this stuff is getting hot!

I was going to put some reviews on this site, but they would pretty much be the same as these ones. They have pretty much got it covered, and I couldn’t agree more that BrainPass is one of the best but less known archives for movies done in the the point of view style. It’s funny that they don’t really make a big deal of how many videos they have, which might be a mistake on their part, as more and more people are looking for them, but hey, at least now you are in the know.
